Camping RioRequesa in northern Italy
Camping RioRequesa is a small-scale nature campsite in the northern Italian region of Liguria. The campsite has eleven camping pitches and four wooden tent houses with private sanitary facilities and equipped outdoor kitchens. There are also two pitches for trailer tents or caravans, and since 2022 we also have two motorhome pitches. The rest of the site consists of free pitches for tents. Information about the surrounding area is available at reception. We are also happy to help you book activities such as dolphin watching or canyoning. Next to reception is an honesty bar stocked with snacks and useful items. Our entire campsite is powered by 100% green energy generated on site.
Tent houses
The campsite has four self-designed tent houses made of Douglas wood. Since 2021, these have been equipped with brand new beds.
There are three types of tent houses:
- One tent house for six people with a sleeping area with a double bed and a sleeping area with two bunk beds, a sitting area, a bathroom and an outdoor kitchen
- One tent house for four people with a double bed, a box bed with bunk beds, a small bathroom and an outdoor kitchen
- Two tent houses for five people with a double bed, a box bed with bunk beds, a sitting area with a sofa bed, a small bathroom and an outdoor kitchen
All tent houses have their own shower, dry toilet, sitting area (except the smallest one) and a veranda with outdoor kitchen. Towels, bed linen and kitchen towels are provided. Each tent house has its own piece of land with outdoor furniture.
Free pitches
You are welcome to bring your own tent or trailer tent to RioRequesa campsite. We only have space for caravans and motorhomes on the campsite during the low season. We have two beautiful motorhome pitches that are available throughout the season. Our campsite is small, so it is advisable to make a reservation. In addition to the six-person tent house and on the large camping pitches, you can add a second tent. Please indicate this in advance when making your reservation so that we can check if there is still space available. All pitches have their own power point (4 amp) supplied by green energy.
Campervan pitches
We have space for campervans throughout the season on our two new campervan pitches. Both pitches have their own power point (10 amp from green energy). Water can be supplied in consultation. During the low season, we have space for small campervans (up to 5 metres) on the campsite.
The Campsite
Sanitary facilities
The toilet block has three men's and three women's toilets. There are also shower cubicles and a washbasin with mirror on both sides. Outside the toilet block, there are two large washing-up sinks. Our bathing areas are thoroughly cleaned at least four times a day. Free hot and cold running water is available throughout.
Swimming
At RioReuqesa campsite, we have a wooden natural swimming pool measuring 8.5 by 4.5 metres and 1.4 metres deep. You can also swim and play in the stream near the campsite. There are traditional outdoor swimming pools in Varese Ligure and Tavaronne. You can also visit the River Vara, five kilometres from the campsite. Would you rather take to the open sea? The sea is 25 kilometres from the campsite!
