Who ar we?
Welcome to RioRequesa!
We are Saskia, Dmitri, and Dajo. Our Italian adventure began in 2005 when we moved into an old building in picturesque Maissana, in the hills of Liguria. After lots of renovations, we opened Bed & Breakfast Fraseneggi there. Not long after, a little further down the road, we added a small and charming nature campsite: RioRequesa, named after the babbling river that flows past the campsite.
Our B&B was a success, and the campsite also grew into a beloved spot for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers, and fans of Italy. In 2012, our son Dajo started attending high school in Sestri Levante. The daily trips to the coast and our own love for the area gave us the idea to look for a house there. We found it in 2015, in charming Chiavari. We leased our B&B to Bert and Helmut — two people to whom we could confidently pass the baton — but we kept the campsite ourselves.
In Chiavari, we set up an agriturismo, surrounded by olive groves on the hills. Step by step, we are restoring the land, pressing our own organic olive oil, and proudly selling it at the campsite.
We have now been at home in Liguria for years. Our son is studying International Business in Groningen, but still enjoys helping out. Thanks to his efforts, RioRequesa has grown into the pleasant, hospitable campsite it is today.
Outside the season, we work on the land, maintain the old building, and make sure everything is ready for the summer. We enjoy the outdoor life, the contact with our guests, and everything this adventure has brought us. And every year, we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to RioRequesa!
Why do guests choose RioRequesa?
Our campsite is tucked away in the green hinterland of Liguria, right on a quiet river where you can cool off on hot days. Here, there are no rows of caravans or busy entertainment, but a place with space, silence, and nature. Nature that we respect with a very small ecological footprint in the immediate vicinity and on the earth. We have consciously opted for a small-scale setup: enough space to breathe and to get to know everyone personally.
Many of our guests return every year — sometimes with friends, family, or neighbors. Some discovered us by chance and stayed, others recommend us to others. What do they have in common? A love of simplicity, nature, and the feeling of coming home. And that is exactly what we want to offer. Welcome to RioRequesa!
Small footprint
One of the goals when setting up the campsite was to minimize our ecological footprint. From 2026 onwards, we will generate almost all the energy we need ourselves. We have installed 20 large solar panels, 64 kW of battery storage, 2 heat pump boilers, and 2 hot water boilers. We wanted to maintain comfort and prove that this can be done in an environmentally friendly way. We have also tried to integrate the campsite into the natural environment as much as possible.
Agriturismo OlivArancio

Forty kilometers from the RioRequesa campsite is our agriturismo OlivArancio (the orange olive). Here you can stay among the olive trees with a view of the sea. We have eight apartments, a swimming pool, and a beautiful outdoor kitchen. Would you like to enjoy a comfortable stay while getting back to basics in nature? You can always combine your visit to the agriturismo with a few nights at our campsite.

OlivArancio is located five kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea and three kilometers from the highway. There are two fantastic restaurants within walking distance, and the delightful town of Chiavari, with its boulevard and many restaurants and bars, is three kilometers away.
